Set within 250 acres of stunning countryside just outside Windsor, our new five-star hotel will offer an exceptional guest experience combining luxury accommodation, an exclusive golf course, destination restaurants, a world-class spa and outstanding leisure facilities.
We are looking for a passionate and service-focused Receptionist to join our pre-opening team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the launch of a landmark luxury destination, helping to establish exceptional service standards and create memorable guest experiences from day one.
The Role
As a Receptionist, you will be one of the first points of contact for our guests, delivering a warm, professional and personalised welcome throughout their stay.
Working closely with the Reception Supervisor and Duty Manager(s), you will support the smooth operation of Reception, ensuring every guest receives an exceptional experience from arrival through to departure.
What You'll Be DoingDelivering Exceptional Guest Experiences
- Provide a warm, attentive and personalised welcome to all guests.
- Deliver seamless check in and check out experiences in line with luxury service standards.
- Assist guests with enquiries, requests and recommendations, ensuring a thoughtful and professional service.
- Handle guest concerns with confidence and care, escalating issues where appropriate.
- Maintain a polished and professional presence within Reception and guest-facing areas.
Supporting Reception Operations
- Complete accurate check in and check out procedures, including registration, room key issuance and guest documentation.
- Process guest billing, payments, deposits and invoices in line with company procedures.
- Maintain accurate guest profiles, preferences and special requests within the property management system.
- Support room moves, upgrades, early arrivals and late departures as directed.
- Coordinate luggage handling, guest deliveries, transport arrangements and messages where required.
- Ensure effective communication and accurate handovers between shifts.
Teamwork & Communication
- Work collaboratively with Reception Supervisors, Duty Managers, Concierge, Porters, Valet, Housekeeping and other departments.
- Communicate guest requirements, VIP information and operational updates clearly and promptly.
- Support the team during busy periods including high occupancy, events, weddings and VIP stays.
- Contribute positively to the team culture and support colleagues in delivering outstanding service.
Standards, Accuracy & Compliance
- Handle cash, payments and guest accounts accurately and responsibly.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with GDPR requirements.
- Consistently uphold grooming, uniform and professional conduct standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming Reception environment.
- Follow all health and safety, fire safety, security and emergency procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within a luxury hotel, hospitality or guest-facing environment is desirable.
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
- Excellent communication skills with a warm and professional approach.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
- A commitment to learning, development and maintaining high service standards.
