Join Us – Be Part of the Clean Energy Revolution
The renewable energy sector is booming, and we’re growing with it. We’re looking for a Renewable Energy Analyst to join our friendly, driven team in Chorley. Whether you’re a recent graduate taking your first career steps or an experienced professional looking for a new challenge, we’d love to hear from you.
This is more than just a job – it’s a chance to play a meaningful role in building trust and transparency in the green economy, helping to reduce energy costs and supporting a more sustainable future.
Flexible Working
While we encourage some hybrid working to support your wellbeing and lifestyle, we do ask that applicants live within an easy commute of our Chorley offices.
About Us
We operate the Energy Performance Validation Scheme (EPVS) – a unique independent verification service that ensures renewable energy retailers and their customers can trust that design and performance saving estimates have been calculated correctly and in line with industry standards.
By joining our team, you’ll be at the heart of something that genuinely matters – creating confidence in the green economy and protecting consumers.
The Role
As a Renewable Energy Analyst, you’ll be responsible for reviewing and validating contracts and supporting documentation submitted to the EPVS platform, building relationships with retail members, and helping consumers understand their renewable energy estimates.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Validating contractual information uploaded to our platform, checking that performance and savings estimates for renewable energy products (such as solar PV or air source heat pumps) have been correctly calculated and clearly communicated to consumers
- Contacting consumers by telephone and email to confirm their understanding of estimates and projections
- Acting as the main point of contact for retailers onboarding with EPVS – reviewing documentation, delivering training, and providing ongoing membership support
- Reviewing consumer queries or complaints referred by third parties (e.g. finance lenders) and producing detailed EPVS reports on findings
- Producing and distributing monthly invoices to relevant third parties within agreed timescales
- Liaising with external stakeholders including finance lenders, brokers, and consumer protection bodies
- Building and maintaining strong, positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and customers
- Representing EPVS as a knowledgeable, honest, and professional ambassador
What We’re Looking For
Because EPVS is unique in its field, we don’t expect you to arrive with identical experience. What matters most is the right combination of skills, attitude, and potential. Candidates from renewable energy, analytical, or compliance backgrounds may find their experience particularly relevant, but we’re committed to supporting your development from day one.
You’ll ideally be able to demonstrate:
- A positive, collaborative attitude and a genuine enjoyment of being part of a team (we really mean this - you have to be a nice person!)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy
- A confident, professional telephone manner – you’ll be regularly speaking with consumers and clients
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills and the ability to pick up new systems quickly
- Excellent organisational skills – you’re comfortable juggling multiple deadlines and priorities
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of your workload
- A self-motivated and proactive approach to learning and development
Why Join Us?
- Work in one of the most exciting and fast-growing sectors in the UK
- Competitive salary with a monthly bonus scheme
- Hybrid working to support your wellbeing and work-life balance
- Real career development opportunities
- A genuinely supportive, fun, and friendly team culture
- The satisfaction of knowing your work contributes to a greener, fairer energy market
We welcome applications from candidates at all stages of their career. If you’re passionate about renewable energy and ready to make a difference, we’d love to talk.
