Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our Hayden Central Pharmacy team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring that patients receive the correct prescriptions in a timely manner. You will play a crucial role in patient care by providing exceptional service and support to both patients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

Accurately prepare and dispense medications as prescribed by healthcare providers.
Assist in the management of inventory, ensuring that all medications are stocked and stored properly.
Provide information to patients regarding their prescriptions, including dosage instructions and potential side effects.
Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to medication administration.
Address any patient inquiries or concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Participate in ongoing training and development to stay updated on pharmaceutical practices and regulations.

Experience

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of medication administration protocols and patient care practices is essential.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative when required.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
