About the role
We are looking for an experienced Transport Compliance and Driver Data Analyst to join our team on a part-time basis at our office in Kendal.
This is a trusted and responsible position involving the analysis of driver and vehicle compliance data, the preparation of accurate client reports, and direct communication with clients regarding infringements and areas of non-compliance.
The successful candidate must have a proven background in transport compliance and be confident interpreting reports produced by transport analysis systems. You will need to explain your findings clearly, identify potential compliance risks and discuss infringements professionally with clients.
This is not an entry-level role. Relevant industry experience and demonstrable knowledge of transport compliance are essential.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse driver and vehicle data using transport compliance analysis systems.
- Review reports for infringements, anomalies and potential compliance issues.
- Check, annotate and prepare clear and accurate reports for clients.
- Discuss infringements and report findings directly with clients.
- Explain complex compliance matters in a clear, professional and practical way.
- Identify recurring issues, trends and areas requiring corrective action.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure reports are completed within agreed timescales.
- Handle sensitive client and driver information with complete confidentiality.
- Support clients in maintaining high standards of transport compliance.
- Work independently while escalating serious or repeated compliance concerns when appropriate.
Essential experience and skills
- Proven experience in transport compliance, driver data analysis or a closely related role.
- Strong understanding of driver and vehicle compliance requirements.
- Experience reviewing and interpreting reports from transport analysis systems.
- Knowledge of drivers’ hours, working time and infringement reporting.
- Ability to identify compliance issues and explain them accurately to clients.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to report analysis.
- Confident and professional telephone and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage confidential and commercially sensitive information.
- Good computer skills and experience using reporting or compliance software.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
Desirable experience
Previous experience working for a transport operator, compliance consultancy, analysis bureau or fleet management business.
- Experience using tachograph or driver-hours analysis software.
- Knowledge of operator licence compliance and transport audit requirements.
- Transport Manager CPC or another relevant transport qualification.
The person we are looking for
You will be reliable, discreet and highly accurate, with the confidence to challenge and discuss compliance concerns professionally. You must be comfortable speaking directly with clients and explaining infringements without using unnecessary technical language.
Due to the level of trust involved in this position, applicants must be able to demonstrate a strong and relevant employment history within transport compliance or data analysis.
Pay: £16.50-£18.00 per hour
