Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Plater/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and attention to detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your welding expertise and mechanical knowledge within a dynamic environment. The position involves working with various tools and materials, ensuring that all work meets safety and quality standards. Candidates should be committed to producing high-quality work and possess a strong understanding of fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively during assembly and fabrication tasks.
Cut, shape, and assemble metal parts with precision, adhering to project specifications.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, following health and safety regulations at all times.
Assist in the setup of fabrication equipment and perform routine maintenance as required.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Experience

Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication processes related to sheet metal work.
Mechanical knowledge relevant to assembly, material handling, and basic maintenance tasks.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks.

Pay: £12.71-£17.00 per hour
