About the job

We are looking for a motivated and analytical Graduate Finance Assistant to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to build a successful career in finance.

Reporting to the UK Finance Manager and playing a significant role as a team member, the Finance Assistant will be responsible for administering and handling a variety of administration within the Finance function.

Contract: 13 months

Your tasks
Provide administrative support across multiple finance functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Financial Planning & Analysis.
Assist with data entry, processing invoices, and maintaining financial records.
Support month-end and year-end activities.
Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and financial documents as required.
Assist with account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Maintain accurate filing and document management systems.
Support audits by gathering and organising required documentation.
Respond to internal and external finance-related queries.
Assist with process improvement initiatives and departmental projects.
Ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls.

Requirements
High level of numeracy essential
Minimum of bachelor’s degree
a recent graduate

Confident and clear communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written
Diligent with an excellent attention to detail
Ability to work and manage own workflow, using initiative to achieve targeted results whilst promoting customer / vendor goodwill
Ability to quickly build credible / good relationships with the team and external customers / vendors
