Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Assistant to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their expertise in accounting and tax preparation within a professional environment. The successful candidate will support the preparation of tax returns, assist with financial documentation, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our tax department. A strong foundation in analysis skills is essential, alongside a keen eye for accuracy and compliance.

Duties

Assist with the preparation and submission of tax returns for individuals and companies
Maintain organised documentation of all financial transactions and tax-related correspondence
Communication with clients and HMRC
Collaborate with senior accountants to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and accounting standards to ensure ongoing compliance

Experience

Previous experience in tax is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all work undertaken
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
