The Humber Royal Hotel is located in the Great Coates area of Grimsby in North East Lincolnshire and is independently owned by one of the countries newest hotel groups.

Adham Hotels have 2 properties in South Yorkshire as well as 2 further hotels located in West Yorkshire and are constantly looking to expand not only nationally but internationally as well so career growth opportunities are extremely real.

Our hotel in North East Lincolnshire offers 58 sumptuous bedrooms and suites along with contemporarily designed public areas which include flexible dining spaces, garden and terrace areas which are also suitable for external catering such as hog roasts and private rooms for meetings and events which can cater for up to 250 people.

With stunning views over the golf course, The Humber Royal Hotel is an idyllic place to work offering memorable stays, dining, weddings and other celebratory and business events to our customers and guests.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Chef de Partie to work in our team. You may be an enthusiastic commis chef who is ready to move to the next level or you may already be an experienced Chef de Partie who is looking for a different challenge. You may also have taken a break from the hospitality industry recently following the pandemic and are looking to return to the industry. Regardless, we want someone with a passion for food and someone who is determined to deliver outstanding food in a company that is going places and wishes to find a route to grow their career.

You will work closely with and report to the hotel's new head chef. You will be able to show that you are you a great chef who is able to create tantalising and tasty dishes for our guests and customers but also be willing to learn.

You will be a passionate foodie with great ideas and importantly, be interested in the latest food trends and produce.

You will have an input in menu development as well as learn from the hotel's head chef about areas of kitchen management including costing menus and delivering and controlling gross profit margins.

You will understand the requirements of the kitchen due diligence system including which will include using kitchen management systems, allergen checks, HACCP, COSHH.

You will be able to lead, motivate and educate junior members of the team showing patience, enthusiasm and passion.

Skills & Experience required:

Minimum of 1 years’ experience within a similar role working for a hotel or similar property either at Chef de Partie level or Commis Chef level.

Holder of a NVQ 2 in Professional Cookery or equivalent, but be able to evidence suitable experience if not held

Holder of Food Safety Level 2 or equivalent

Be IT literate and be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications and procurement/kitchen management systems as well as other systems and applications

A positive, can-do attitude

Possess immaculate personal presentation and discipline at all times

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: £27,000.00 per year
