We are looking for an experienced and motivated Bench Joiner to join our growing workshop team.
The Role
As a Bench Joiner, you will be responsible for manufacturing a wide range of bespoke joinery products to the highest standards. Working from detailed technical drawings, you will produce custom-made items including:
- Bespoke cabinetry
- Doors and frames
- Staircases
- Furniture
- Architectural joinery
- Specialist interior fit-out components
You'll be involved throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring every project meets our exacting quality standards before leaving the workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture bespoke joinery from technical drawings and cutting lists.
- Operate a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Assemble, fit and finish bespoke joinery to a high standard.
- Maintain excellent attention to detail throughout every stage of production.
- Work collaboratively within the workshop team to meet production deadlines.
- Ensure a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Carry out quality checks to ensure all products meet company standards.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience as a Bench Joiner within a bespoke joinery or cabinet-making environment.
- Can confidently read and interpret technical drawings.
- Demonstrates excellent woodworking skills and craftsmanship.
- Has experience using a variety of woodworking machinery and hand tools.
- Takes pride in producing high-quality work with exceptional attention to detail.
- Works well independently and as part of a team.
- Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Is committed to maintaining high standards of health and safety.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with both solid timber and manufactured boards.
- Knowledge of veneering, laminates and specialist finishes.
- Experience producing high-end residential or commercial joinery.
- Relevant woodworking or joinery qualifications.
