Family Law Paralegal Legal Assistant Required - Emmersons Solicitors Sunderland.
We seek a Legal Assistant/Paralegal or Trainee Solicitor with LL.B or LLM or a relevant conversion to law degree. Training Contracts are available. We seek a candidate who can , interview clients, prepare statements and legal documents.
This position is to work in our multi award winning Family and Private Client Team based at our Sunderland office. You will work alongside our team of very experienced family lawyers.
You will be supporting a fee earner as well as having the opportunity to run your own files. This may be the next step up for those who have not been able to secure a Training Contract and who wish to be able to run their own caseload.
We can offer you good quality work. Many of our clients are business owners, professionals and investors. We do not undertake legal aid work. We do not ask fee earners to fill in six minute units, we prefer to look at billing and contribution to the Team effort and ethos.
We are looking for someone who wishes to advance in their career as a family lawyer. Therefore you must have a degree in law or have completed a conversion course to law.

Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting legal documents and correspondence related to private client and some family matters.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support cases.
- Manage case files and maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office applications.
- Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, ensuring timely updates and responses.
- Organise and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of professionalism.

Pay: £24,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
