We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Apprentice Dental Nurse to join our friendly dental practice. Responsibilities
- Assisting the dental team during patient appointments, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Providing support with administrative tasks such as maintaining patient records and scheduling appointments
- Supporting patients through effective communication, explaining procedures, and addressing concerns
- Learning and adhering to infection control procedures and health & safety regulations
- Assisting with patient care under supervision, including post-treatment advice and aftercare instructions
- Developing knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials through training and on-the-job experience
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of patient care principles and a caring attitude towards patients
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication with patients and team members
- Interest or background in nursing or healthcare is desirable but not essential; willingness to learn is crucial
- Good IT skills for managing digital records and administrative tasks
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with patients and colleagues
- Organised with excellent time management abilities to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
