About the Role
This particular role is approximately 3 hours per week and will begin online before transitioning to face to face support in the Sevenoaks area. As part of the Active Outreach Services Tutor Network, teachers are offered opportunities to express their interest in more than 1 learner to build their timetable.
As an Active Outreach Services Qualified Teacher, you will provide 1:1 educational support to children and young people with SEND, SEMH and additional learning needs.
Many of our teachers work with the same learners each week, allowing them to build strong professional relationships, provide consistency and see meaningful academic progress over time.
Without the demands of a full classroom, you can focus on personalised learning, adapt teaching strategies to individual needs and deliver targeted support that helps learners achieve their educational goals. Many of our teachers go on to build a regular weekly timetable with recurring learners, creating valuable continuity for both the tutor and learner.
Sessions are delivered on a 1:1 basis, typically between 9:00am and 5:00pm, in a learner's home, local library, community centre or online.

Requirements
You will need:
- QTS/PGCE
- Experience supporting SEND and/or SEMH learners (preferred)
- Must be comfortable delivering tuition online and face to face
- Access to a laptop or computer
- Access to a smartphone
- Reliable internet access
- Ability to complete online reports and administrative tasks
- Ability to travel to learner locations where required
- Enhanced DBS/Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
Pay: £25.00 per hour
