Full job description

Digivolve Accountants are recruiting for a Senior Practice Bookkeeper to join our small friendly firm of accountants based in Haywards Heath. Due to ongoing growth within the company, we are looking for a Bookkeeper with prior UK practice experience.

As an experienced Bookkeeper you will be performing bookkeeping tasks for a portfolio of clients. You will be responsible for a combination of bookkeeping including the preparation of VAT returns and accounts to trial balance stage.

Bookkeeping Duties

Bookkeeping through to trial balance stage
Confident reviewing the P&L and Balance sheet
Competent posting prepayments and accruals
Preparing management accounts
VAT preparation and returns
Reviewing trainees work
Reconciling sales invoices, receipts and payments
Being a clients point of contact for their Bookkeeping
Preparing supplier payment runs
Keeping clients up to date with their business's performance

Practice Bookkeeper Requirements

3 years Bookkeeping experience within an Accountancy Practice is essential
Confident using Xero essential and Quickbooks/Freeagent desirable
AAT Bookkeeping qualifications or qualified by experience
You must be within a commutable distance of Haywards Heath.

Remuneration

Salary £29,000 - £37,000 FTE
Office hours Monday to Friday 9:00am - 17:30pm
Full time, Part time, school hours all considered
Pro rata 28 days holiday including bank holidays
