Employment Advert: Video Editor – Six Month Contract Position
Our Company
7 Stream Media is an established video production company based near Basingstoke in Hampshire, UK. We provide services nationally and internationally with small, medium, and global blue-chip companies. Working across a wide range of industries, our main areas of focus are filming and editing video content and providing live streaming services alongside other AV production capabilities for a wide variety of physical and online events. We have also recently launched our in-house film, TV and podcast studio, Herriard Studios, which further enhances our service offering to our clients.
Our Team
We are a growing business that collaborates with a trusted network of creative partners to deliver exceptional results. Teamwork is at the heart of everything we do, with everyone contributing and supporting one another to achieve shared goals.
We exist to serve our clients, building close and long-lasting relationships to really understand their people, practices, and requirements. We are creative problem solvers and solution finders, always relishing a challenge. Our desire is to make beautiful and immaculate content, going above and beyond our clients’ expectations; to understand what our clients need, and always putting quality and creativity first.
We want to make people look good and feel at ease in front of the camera, helping them enjoy the filming experience and the finished product. At 7 Stream Media, we pride ourselves on creating a fun and vibrant workplace that provides an enjoyable experience for both our team and our clients.
Our Role
Due to our current and projected editing workload, we are offering a 6-month contract position with immediate start. This was a role we had planned to develop and recruit for in 2027. However, the growth in our workload has accelerated that timeline, and we now need to recruit for editing support sooner than anticipated. Therefore, there may be the opportunity for this role to extend or become permanent, aligning with our 2027 plan, for the right candidate should our current level of workload continue to increase.
The role is primarily editing a wide range of video content including promotional films, educational material, animated content, podcasts/vodcasts and creative films.
Therefore, we are looking for someone who will be a passionate Editor, transforming our raw footage and turning it into a fantastic final product, with quality, detail, and creativity - and a commitment to excellence.
This role will report to the Production Director and involves working heavily with the rest of the team. We believe in a one-team culture. While you'll have clear responsibilities within your role, there will be occasions where you'll support colleagues and wider business activities outside your immediate remit. Flexibility, collaboration, and a willingness to help others are key to our success.
