About the Role

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join our large and diverse Technical Team within the Biosciences Department, supporting our high-quality teaching laboratories.

As a Bioscience Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional student experience. You will be responsible for preparing reagents and equipment, and providing hands-on technical support and guidance to students and academic colleagues during practical sessions and demonstrations.

You will contribute directly to enhancing students’ employability by helping to create a positive, inclusive, and industry-relevant learning environment. Working in modern laboratory spaces, you will support the effective operation and maintenance of equipment and ensure teaching activities run smoothly and safely.

This role offers opportunities for personal and professional development, and you will be encouraged to continually develop your technical expertise and stay up to date with developments in your discipline. You will work both independently and collaboratively as part of a supportive team, contributing to the ongoing improvement of our laboratory provision.
