Job Title: Hire Desk Controller
Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for an organised, customer-focused, and proactive Hire Desk Controller to join our growing team. This is a fast-paced role where you'll be responsible for managing hire enquiries, coordinating equipment availability, and ensuring an excellent customer experience from enquiry through to collection and return.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the tool and plant hire industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy depot environment.
Skills and Experience Needed:
- Manage incoming hire enquiries by telephone, email, and in person.
- Prepare hire quotations, process bookings, and raise hire contracts.
- Liaise with the stakeholders to ensure accurate deliveries and collections
- Maintain accurate hire records and customer information.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Work closely with the workshop and operations teams to ensure equipment is prepared and available on time
- Previous experience in a Hire Desk Controller, Hire Coordinator, or Customer Service role within the tool hire, plant hire, construction, or related industry is preferred.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Strong team player with the ability to build lasting customer relationships.
Monday to Friday 07:00 to 17:00
No bank holiday working
21 days holiday per year, increasing with years served (max 25 days per year)
Pension
Salary dependant on experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £28,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
