Part-time Retail & Workshop Assistant – Start Point Spearfishing
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and personable individual to join our friendly and rapidly growing team at Start Point Spearfishing.
We are currently looking for a team members to work Tuesday to Friday, plus the occasional weekend to cover holiday / absence.
This is a varied, hands-on role within a unique industry, combining retail, customer service, workshop tasks and order fulfilment. No prior spearfishing, foraging or free diving experience is required - full paid training will be provided - but a willingness to learn, communicate well and get stuck in is essential.
Shift hours are:
Summer hours Tuesday – Friday: 08:00 – 16:00 or 10:00 - 18:00
Winter hours Tuesday – Friday: 08:30 – 16:30 or 09:30 - 17:30
Key duties & responsibilities:
- Assisting customers in store, over the phone and via email/WhatsApp
- Packaging and dispatching online orders
- Keeping the shop clean, organised and well stocked
- Stock checking and inventory organisation
- Speargun rigging and servicing
- Making speargun bands
- Gluing foot pockets to carbon blades (preferable)
- Pissette fitting (preferable)
- General workshop and store duties as required
