Full job description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced, highly motivated, and hard-working Dental Nurse and Treatment Plan Coordinator to join our friendly team at our busy NHS Orthodontic and Dental Practice based in the Old Town of Stevenage.

Key Responsibilities

Provide chairside assistance to orthodontists, therapists, and dentists (including for restorations, extractions, etc.)
Sterilise instruments and maintain a high standard of infection control
Manage stock levels within surgeries
Ensure daily surgery checklists are completed after each session
Keep patient records up to date and accurate
Support reception duties to ensure excellent patient satisfaction
Assist throughout the practice as required by the Principal
Recruit new patients
Talk to new patients about available treatment options
Respond to email enquiries from potential new patients

Essential Requirements

Excellent communication skills
Strong knowledge of CQC protocols and HTM 01-05
Excellent patient care skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Two up-to-date references
Professional and well-presented

Desired Skills & Qualifications

Fully qualified with valid GDC registration (preferred)
Trainee dental nurses with previous experience will also be considered
Additional qualifications such as radiography and impression taking are an advantage
Up-to-date knowledge of clinical protocols

Working Hours

Monday – Thursday: 08:05 – 13:15 / 14:00 – 17:00 (45 min lunch)
Friday: 08:05 – 16:00 (30 min lunch)
