Full job description

We’re looking for an experienced and reliable Prep Kitchen Assistant to join the team at Rose & Ramble.

This is a hands-on, behind-the-scenes role helping us prepare the products and ingredients that keep R&R running throughout the week.

Your main responsibility will be our weekly açai production, working as part of the prep team to mix and portion large batches of açai ready for service.

There will also be the opportunity for additional evening prep shifts on Mondays and Thursdays, preparing food and ingredients ready for the following days.

What you'll be doing

Mixing large batches of our açai to R&R recipes and specifications
Portioning/basing açai accurately and efficiently
Following recipes, weights and portion controls consistently
Preparing food and ingredients for service
Labelling, dating and correctly storing prepared products
Following FIFO and stock rotation procedures
Maintaining excellent food hygiene and food safety standards
Keeping prep areas, equipment and utensils clean and organised
Working efficiently to complete production within the required timeframes
Following R&R's prep systems and quality standards

You must:

Have previous experience working in hospitality, catering or professional food preparation
Have experience safely handling and preparing food
Understand food hygiene, cross-contamination, allergens and safe food storage
Be comfortable following recipes and precise measurements
Be organised, clean and methodical
Be able to work quickly without sacrificing quality or accuracy
Be reliable - our weekly production depends on this shift being completed correctly
Be comfortable with a physically active role involving repetitive prep, lifting and working on your feet

Hours

The role includes one core açai production/prep day each week which is a Tuesday.

There is also the opportunity to pick up additional Monday and Thursday evening food-prep shifts, making this ideal for someone looking for regular part-time hours alongside another hospitality role or other commitments.
