As a R&D Chemist, you will develop and maintain our current products whilst supporting regional Jotun laboratories around the world. You will be part of a professional and vibrant team and environment based in our state-of-the-art Fire Protection Research and Development Laboratory located in our UK head office in Flixborough.
Due to internal promotions, it is, therefore, a pleasure to announce a full-time, position is available as an R&D Chemist.

Responsibilities:
Contribute by developing and maintaining products under professional guidance by preparing, testing, and evaluating recipes, and raw materials according to the R&D plan.
Report the results from development and maintenance work both orally and written through reports to ensure that the correct decisions based on current experience are made.
Search for and make use of knowledge through literature, practical experience, learning from others as well as attending courses to be able to work more independently with more complex R&D tasks.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER
What we look for:
We invite applications from new graduates BSc or MSc, as well as candidates who can demonstrate relevant experience in protective coatings and preferably in intumescent R&D. All candidates are expected to have good English skills – both spoken and written, and knowledge about the use of MS Office 365 and Teams/Sharepoint is an advantage.
This is a local contract and all applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
