Full job description

Medical Receptionist post at Polden Medical Practice

(Approximately 15hrs per week).

All day Tuesday and a Friday afternoon with a 6:30pm finish.

Polden Medical Practice is an expanding GP practice which consists of 2 surgeries, one in the village of Edington and one in the village of Woolavington both situated in the Polden Hills. The Practices are operational between the hours of 8.00am to 6.30pm and flexibility has to be an advantage to assist with covering these hours.

Job Description:

We are seeking a professional and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the front desk and incoming telephone calls. The job is a rewarding one with a sense of achievement and lots of interaction with our staff and patients. You will have strong verbal communication and computer skills and be able to deliver high quality customer service in a pleasant professional manner along with being approachable and empathetic. Full training will be given in the receptionist role and the bespoke NHS skills required.

We offer membership of the NHS pension scheme and have free parking available at each practice.
