Creative Events & Operations Manager
Location: Belfast City Centre
Pay: £13.50 per hour starting rate
Hours: Full-time, approximately 30–40 hours per week

We are a growing creative events business delivering memorable workshops, private bookings, corporate events and community experiences across Belfast and Northern Ireland.

The Role
We are looking for an outgoing, organised and commercially minded Creative Events & Operations Manager to oversee our Belfast studio, events calendar and growing team.
This is a hands-on role involving event planning, staff recruitment, rotas, customer service, administration and business development. You will help ensure every event runs smoothly while supporting the growth of the business and the launch of new creative brands.
No two days will be the same. You may be leading a busy event, interviewing new staff, responding to customers, preparing invoices, meeting clients or developing a new event idea.
Weekend Working
Most of our events take place at weekends, so regular weekend availability is essential. Time off will be provided during the week where appropriate.
Occasional evening work will also be required.
Key ResponsibilitiesEvents and Customer Service
- Plan and deliver creative events in our Belfast studio and at external locations.
- Oversee event setup, delivery and breakdown.
- Act as the main contact for clients before, during and after events.
- Respond to enquiries, prepare quotations and manage bookings.
- Resolve problems and customer complaints professionally.
- Maintain high standards of presentation, safety and customer experience.
Team Management
- Recruit, interview and onboard new team members.
- Prepare contracts and induction information.
- Create weekly rotas and ensure events are properly staffed.
- Train, motivate and supervise event staff.
- Monitor performance and provide feedback and support.
- Create a positive, welcoming and professional team environment.
Operations and Administration
- Manage event schedules, calendars and booking systems.
- Coordinate equipment, materials, transport, suppliers and venues.
- Maintain stock levels and order supplies.
- Issue invoices and assist with payment tracking.
- Maintain accurate event and administrative records.
- Follow Health and Safety procedures.
- Review events and identify improvements.
Business Development
- Identify opportunities to increase bookings and repeat business.
- Build relationships with businesses, schools, charities and community groups.
- Help launch and grow new creative brands across Northern Ireland.
- Develop new event concepts and partnerships.
- Support marketing, promotional activity and networking opportunities.
Requirements
- Previous experience in events, hospitality, leisure or a similar role.
- Experience managing, recruiting or supervising staff.
- Experience creating rotas and onboarding employees.
- Strong organisational, leadership and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with bookings, invoices and business administration.
- Good IT skills, including Google Workspace, Google Sheets and scheduling systems.
- Commercial awareness and an interest in growing the business.
- Availability to work regular weekends and occasional evenings.
- A full UK driving licence or the ability to travel independently across Northern Ireland.
- Strong spoken and written English.
- The legal right to work in the UK.

- First Aid or Health and Safety qualifications.
- An interest in art, creativity and community events.
