BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The Stock Analyst is responsible for assisting the Senior Operations Manager in overseeing and coordinating Decora’s stock inventory. This involves dealing with off-site storage facilities, inter-site transfers and managing out of stock items. A fundamental part of the role is ensuring that the correct stock is at the correct location at times required, in order to meet customer demands.
Working hours: Monday - Thursday 8.30am to 5pm, Friday 8.30am to 2pm (37.5 hours per week)
Location: Lisburn, BT28 2FL
*This role is office based at Decora Lisburn.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Inventory Management & Stock Control
- Review site stock reports daily to ensure all off-site items are replenished using a Just-in-Time (JIT) approach.
- Input and release transfer orders to maintain appropriate stock levels across all sites.
- Ensure all stock transfers are completed and closed in a timely manner.
- Review transfer summary reports to ensure all stock movements are accurately captured.
- Release back orders as stock becomes available.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies relating to off-site storage locations.
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of on-site stock discrepancies.
- Book all off-site deliveries in accordance with the company Goods-In procedure.
Inventory Auditing & Compliance
- Co-ordinate and maintain an 8-week cycle counting programme across all Decora sites.
- Co-ordinate a 6-month audit stock count programme with all off-site storage providers.
- Ensure ISO controls, procedures and inventory management standards are strictly adhered to.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of internal and external quality audits.
Logistics & Third-Party Storage Management
- Produce and distribute weekly manifests for all off-site storage facilities.
- Act as the key liaison between Decora and third-party storage providers.
- Communicate and resolve delivery, stock or quality issues with relevant departments including Purchasing, Quality, Logistics and Operations.
- Support the implementation of automated stock and delivery feedback processes with third-party storage vendors.
Reporting, Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Implement AI-assisted stock analysis tools and inventory best practices to improve stock accuracy, service levels and operational efficiency.
- Monitor inventory performance and identify opportunities to improve stock availability, inventory accuracy and working capital utilisation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to stock control, warehousing and inventory management processes.
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with Customer Services, Production and Warehouse Supervisors regarding stock shortages and out-of-stock items to ensure customer promise dates are achieved.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal departments and external suppliers.
People Management
- Overall responsibility for all aspects of the effective supervision, training and development and health, safety and welfare of your team.
Health, Safety & General
- Promote safe working practices in all storage and inventory-related activities.
- Acquire, retain and apply detailed product and customer knowledge.
- Travel to other company sites as required.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by management.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role working with warehouse management systems
- Previous experience within a FMCG environment
- Ability to use IT systems, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages and in particular, Excel and AI tools such as Co-Pilot
- Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail
- Excellent planning, organising and prioritising skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight schedules
- Ability to work proactively and on own initiative
- High level of interpersonal skills
- Hold a full clean car driving license with access to own vehicle
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
- 3rd level qualification in a business or logistics related subject
- Forklift Licence
- Experience in warehouse environment, with focus on right first time and high pick frequency
- Experience of working in a Health and Safety driven environment
- Experience of working with Quality Systems (ISO standards)
