TATTOO ARTIST WANTED
We're a professional independent studio located near Birmingham city centre, offering a friendly and inclusive approach to welcome customers. We currently have two machine artists and one hand-poke artist, and are now looking to add another full-time or part-time machine artist to our team.
We are a queer neurodivergent owned business and work to an informed consent model that prioritises creating an LGBTQ+ safe, private tattoo appointment where everyone is welcome.
Required Skills and Experience:
- You must have a tattooing licence via registration with your Local Authority
- You must have completed a Tattoo Infection Control & Bloodborne Pathogens training course within the last 12 months, or complete one before working with us (we can advise on appropriate training courses).
- A minimum of 2 years of studio experience
- Excellent customer service - someone who will go out of their way to make customers feel welcome and reassured
- Good attention to detail
- The drive to improve your standard of work
We offer a great artist's rate and have various working hours available. We can be flexible in terms of access to the studio on evenings and any day of the week.
You will be self-employed within the studio, but we will support you with guidance on training, and help with social media marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Appointment-based and walk-in tattoo appointments
- Responding effectively to all booking enquiries you receive.
- Updating and managing bookings via our digital booking system
- General administrative duties
- Cleaning the studio (We don't ask you to do anything we don't already do ourselves)
We're proud to have built a small following, and a friendly community around our Studio. You can get to know us more by looking at our social media pages, and our website linked below. Before getting in touch with us, please take time to read up about us.
We particularly welcome applications from black and minority ethnic candidates, and from the LGBTQ+ community as they are under-represented within our business and our industry as a whole.
How to apply:
If you're interested in working with us, please email us your portfolio and social media handles.
We look forward to hearing from you.
