Full job description

Harmony Homecare Suffolk are currently looking for an experienced HR Officer, to work out of our head office in Newmarket. Reporting to senior management and working alongside the Health and Safety Manager. You will provide first line advice and guidance on all HR related matters.

Key Responsibilities Include:

- Provide guidance and advice on employee related matters. Inclusive of employee concerns, investigations, disciplines, grievances and absence/sickness leave

- Support and document disciplinary and grievance hearings

- Administrate employee details and file related changes

- Process employee contracts, offer letters, CITATION training, new-starter forms, leaver details and ensure all information is processed and documented correctly

- Develop and maintain a HR system and ensure all documents are retained in accordance with GDPR

- Alongside line managers, coordinate recruitment of drivers and office-based staff, from initial advertisement to offer letter submission

- Ensure S Y Pumps remain compliant with HR and company policies and procedures

- Work alongside Health and Safety Manager, to ensure the safe and compliant implementation and induction of new starters, inclusive of correct job-based training, new starter forms and supervisory assessments and sign offs

Applicants must have the following:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook

- Able to work to tight deadlines

- Minimum of 2 years’ reference check able working in a HR Officer role

- Good knowledge of employment legislation

- Must have CIPD Level 5 or equivalent

- IOSH Working or Managing Safely although not essential, would be advantageous

- Prior CITATION usage although not essential, would be advantageous

- Experience in the use of SAGE Payroll will stand candidates at a distinct advantage, although not a requirement for this role.
