Salary: £31650 - £43607 per annum + Pro Rata

Quantum Scholars are proud to be working with a forward-thinking secondary school located in Southampton, as they seek to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher for the new academic year starting in September 2025.

This is a full-time position on a long-term supply basis, initially offered for one full academic year. For the right candidate, there is a strong possibility that this could lead to a permanent appointment through the school.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Maths across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will be joining a supportive and well-resourced Maths department with a collaborative and positive ethos.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons that inspire and challenge students.
Plan and assess in line with the national curriculum and departmental policy.
Differentiate learning to cater to a range of abilities, including SEN and EAL students.
Track student progress, provide regular feedback, and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s positive behaviour policy.
Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and departmental initiatives.
Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Maths department and across the school.

Requirements

We are looking for a passionate and committed teacher who meets the following criteria:

Holds UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Proven experience of teaching Maths successfully at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential).
Strong subject knowledge
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students.
Must be available to start in September 2025
Must have a Right to Work in the UK!
