Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting, making it essential for candidates to have experience in commercial driving.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations.
Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary.
Plan delivery routes effectively to ensure timely arrival at destinations.
Communicate with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the delivery vehicle.

Skills

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is advantageous.
Valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle being operated (e.g., van driver).
