Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and analysing project budgets and cost estimates
- Monitor project costs and identify potential overruns or savings opportunities
- Support the procurement process by preparing tender documents and evaluating bids
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects
- Collaborate with project managers and contractors to ensure cost control measures are adhered to
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify quantities for billing purposes
- Assist in preparing reports on project financial status for stakeholders
- Contribute to risk management by identifying potential financial issues early on
- Experience
- Previous experience or relevant education in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field is desirable but not essential
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Good understanding of cost control principles within construction projects
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in MS Office applications; familiarity with industry-specific software is a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: £19.23-£33.65 per hour
