Dog Daycare Assistant
Playful Paws Rugby is an established residential dog daycare that focuses on structured mixed-group play sessions in a safe, calm and enriching environment.
We are looking for a reliable, trustworthy individual who is confident handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
Part time position (20-hours)
You will be responsible for supervising and caring for dogs throughout the day, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and enjoyment at all times. You will get to know each dog individually and provide attentive care tailored to their needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily dog care routines, including feeding, grooming, blow drying (in the wetter months) and exercise.
- Monitor dogs for signs of distress or illness and report any concerns promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness of play areas, van and equipment. This includes picking up dog waste
- Provide companionship and socialisation for dogs to promote positive behaviour.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times to prevent injuries or accidents.
- Assist with loading and unloading dogs during transportation to and from home
Experience
A genuine passion for animal welfare.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- A DBS check and Dog First Aid qualification are desirable but not essential, as training can be arranged
- Strong understanding of dog behaviour and needs
Pay: From £14.00 per hour
