Panel Wirer – Huddersfield
£16.87 per hour | Monday–Thursday 8:00am–4:30pm | Friday 8:00am–1:00pm
We’re looking for an experienced and reliable Panel Wirer to join our manufacturing team in Huddersfield.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for building and wiring electrical control panels to a high standard. You’ll need good attention to detail, a methodical approach and pride in producing quality work.
What you’ll be doing
· Cutting, stripping and crimping cables, including wire identification using heat-shrink markers.
· Populating terminal rails and fitting identification markers.
· Drilling backplates and preparing and mounting cable trunking.
· Fitting electrical components to backplates.
· Wiring components including contactors, relays, MCBs, inverter drives and PLCs to schematic drawings.
· Fitting cable glands and screw-down labels.
· Stripping down Rittal enclosures ready for painting and rebuilding them afterwards.
· Working as part of the production team while also being confident working independently.
What we’re looking for
You’ll ideally have previous experience in panel wiring or electrical control panel assembly and be comfortable working from schematic drawings.
