Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Fire Risk Assessor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating fire safety measures within various premises, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in construction and system design to utilise their expertise in a vital safety-focused capacity. The Fire Risk Assessor will conduct detailed inspections, produce comprehensive reports, and recommend necessary improvements to mitigate fire risks effectively. Responsibilities

Conduct thorough fire risk assessments across commercial, industrial, and residential properties
Analyse existing fire safety systems and identify potential hazards or deficiencies
Develop customised fire safety plans and system designs aligned with current legislation and best practices
Provide clear, detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and required actions
Liaise with clients, contractors, and relevant authorities to ensure compliance and facilitate implementation of safety measures
Keep abreast of updates in fire safety regulations and integrate changes into assessment procedures
Assist in training clients or staff on fire prevention strategies and the proper use of safety systems

Experience

Proven experience in construction or related fields is highly desirable
Strong background in system design, particularly relating to fire detection, suppression, or alarm systems
Previous experience conducting fire risk assessments or similar evaluations is advantageous
Knowledge of current UK fire safety legislation and standards is essential
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to produce detailed documentation
Effective communication skills to explain technical information clearly to non-specialists
