About Us

The Medical Eye Clinic, based in Matford, is the only independently owned private ophthalmology clinic in Exeter. Our state-of-the-art on-site theatre enables us to carry out a wide range of ophthalmic procedures in a safe, modern, and comfortable environment.

We are committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a positive and friendly setting, while always maintaining dignity and respect.

The Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant / Nursing Assistant to support our nursing team throughout the entire surgical patient journey.

This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate individual who is passionate about patient care and eager to contribute to a team that delivers an outstanding standard of service.

This role requires someone who can work 3 days a week and is flexible to work between Monday and Saturday, depending on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Assist nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care
Support patients throughout their surgical journey
Maintain patient dignity, comfort, and safety at all times
Prepare clinical areas and assist with procedures where required
Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment

Requirements

Essential / Preferred:

GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting (1 year preferred)
Good level of English communication
Full UK driving licence (preferred)
A caring, professional, and team-oriented attitude
