About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Gym Instructor to join our fitness team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting members in achieving their health and fitness goals by delivering excellent customer service, providing fitness advice, and ensuring the safe and effective use of gym equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct gym inductions for new members. Develop and deliver personalized fitness programmes. Supervise gym users and ensure safe operation of equipment. Provide advice on exercise techniques, fitness goals, and healthy lifestyles. Monitor and maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the gym. Assist with fitness assessments and progress reviews. Support the delivery of group exercise classes where required. Respond appropriately to customer enquiries and emergencies. Promote gym memberships, classes, and other services.
Essential Requirements
Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing (or equivalent recognised qualification). Knowledge of health and safety procedures within a fitness environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate and engage people of all fitness levels. Strong customer service skills. Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends.
Desirable Requirements
Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification. Experience working in a fitness centre, leisure facility, or gym environment. Experience delivering group fitness classes. Additional fitness qualifications or specialist training.
