Press Brake Operator / Setter – 4 Day Week
Singletons Engineering is looking for an experienced Press Brake Operator / Setter to join our team in Burnley.
We're an established engineering company with a great team, relaxed working atmosphere and easy-going management. We want people to enjoy coming to work, get on with the job without unnecessary pressure and feel like part of the team.
We're looking for someone with genuine press brake experience who can confidently set and operate CNC press brakes from engineering drawings and produce accurate, good-quality work.
What You'll Be Doing
- Setting and operating CNC press brake machines
- Working from engineering drawings
- Selecting tooling and planning bend sequences
- Producing one-off, small batch and production work
- Checking dimensions, angles and finished components
- Working with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
- Carrying out quality checks on your own work
- Working alongside our laser cutting and fabrication teams
- Helping keep jobs moving efficiently through production

You don't need previous laser experience – if you're willing to learn, we'll give you the opportunity to gain additional skills and become more versatile across the workshop.
Hours & Flexibility
The standard position is:
Monday–Thursday – 37.5 hours per week

Overtime is readily available for anyone wanting additional hours and earnings.
Pay
£16.00–£21.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Experienced setters who can confidently take a drawing through to a finished component independently will be considered towards the top end of the pay range.
