Job Title: Despatch SupervisorJob Summary
We are seeking a reliable, organised, and hands-on Despatch Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day despatch operations within our warehouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring customer orders are accurately picked, packed, and dispatched on time while maintaining effective stock control. This is a varied role that also requires the successful applicant to assist in the manufacture of netting and associated products as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and carry out the accurate picking and packing of customer orders.
- Process shipments by entering consignment details through online courier and freight booking systems.
- Receive, unpack, inspect, and sort incoming goods.
- Maintain accurate stock records and carry out regular stock checks.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders to replenish inventory when required.
- Ensure the warehouse and despatch area remain clean, organised, and safe.
- Coordinate daily despatch activities to meet customer delivery deadlines.
- Identify and resolve despatch, stock, or logistics issues promptly.
- Assist with the manufacture of netting and associated products to support production requirements.
- Follow company quality, health and safety, and operational procedures at all times.
- Work collaboratively with the production and sales teams to ensure efficient order fulfilment.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse, despatch, or logistics environment
- Experience with picking, packing, and shipping customer orders.
- Good computer skills, including the ability to use online courier booking systems.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage stock effectively and maintain accurate records.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks and work in a physically active environment.
Desirable
- Experience in manufacturing or production environments.
- Forklift licence (if applicable).
