Full job description

Delivery Driver – Pizza Jockeys

£13.00 per hour + tips

Immediate Start Available

Pizza Jockeys is looking for a reliable and friendly Delivery Driver to join our team.

This is a straightforward daytime role with regular hours, delivering freshly prepared ingredients and stock from our production kitchen to our Pizza Jockeys restaurants. You'll also help ensure our delivery vehicle and stock are maintained to the highest standards.

Hours

5 days per week
10:00am – 4:30/5:00pm (depending on the day's workload)

Pay & Benefits

£13.00 per hour
Tips in addition to hourly pay
PAYE employment

Responsibilities

Safely operate a delivery van to complete multiple daily drops across designated routes
Load and unload goods, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring items are secure during transit
Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimise time and fuel consumption
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays
Complete all required documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle at all times
Adhere to all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries

Qualifications

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with multi-drop experience
Valid UK driver’s licence with a clean driving record
Experience in commercial driving and warehouse operations is advantageous but not necessary
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Strong communication skills to interact professionally with team members
Organised with excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
Knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns is preferred
