Full job description

Positions available for September start, so interviews are pre-scheduled for Friday 28th August.

Our SEN LSA's work term-time only and we currently have 2 positions available for the 2026-27 academic year.

30 hours per week (across 5 days) is the maximum for this kind of role at ATL, however we can flexibly accommodate a range of part-time options to support your work-life balance- please let us know in your application how many days per week you are seeking!

The Job Role:
You will be supporting ‘high-needs’ learners in working towards their vocational qualification goals and contributing to the development of learners at all abilities by providing support to teaching staff both in and out of the classroom.

The Candidates:

Level 3 qualification (Teaching Assistant, Learning Mentor, Supporting Teaching & Learning or equivalent);
Experience of working in an educational establishment, with an excellent understanding of and commitment to safeguarding;
Sound IT skills with experience of using computerised systems and office based software;
Able to follow lesson plans to support delivery of training and assessing learners' work;
Able to interact positively, pleasantly and efficiently at all levels, both internal and external;
Good organisational skills;
Willing to seek guidance from senior staff and work in harmony with the responsible tutor(s) to provide consistent support to learners;
Able to maintain absolute confidentiality of information;
Able to work flexibly where required.
