About Allostock Green
Allostock Green is a green waste recycling and landscape supply business based in Allostock, Cheshire.
We recycle green waste into compost, screened topsoil, soil blends, bark and woodchip. We are also developing our new premises to include a trade and retail shop supplying landscapers, tree surgeons, gardeners, builders and the general public.
Our aim is to become a one-stop shop for recycled products, landscaping materials and garden supplies.
The Role
We are looking for a practical and reliable Yard & Operations Supervisor / Class 2 Driver to help manage the day-to-day running of our site.
The role will involve supervising yard operations, processing green waste, managing stock, loading customers, driving our vehicles and helping maintain a safe and organised site.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily yard operations
Manage green waste intake, processing and stock movement
Operate plant and loading machinery
Load and unload trade and public customers
Drive Class 2 vehicles, including HIAB and hookloader where required
Maintain stock, waste movement and production records
Keep the yard clean, organised and safe
Support trade and retail customer sales
Carry out basic machinery checks and report faults
Ensure Health & Safety and environmental procedures are followed
Work with the Directors to improve yard systems and site operations
Requirements
Full UK Driving Licence
Class 2 Licence
Experience operating plant or loading machinery
Good communication and organisation skills
Strong awareness of Health & Safety
Reliable, practical and hands-on
Comfortable working outdoors
Able to work independently and supervise others when required
Desirable Experience
HIAB experience or qualification
Hookloader experience
Loading shovel, telehandler or forklift experience
CPC qualification
Waste management, recycling, agriculture, aggregates or landscaping background
Previous yard supervisor or team leader experience
