About Us

Hilton & Moss was founded on a passion for classic and performance cars. Based in Bishop’s Stortford, our state-of-the-art facilities house some of the world’s rarest and most desirable vehicles. The site includes a two-storey showroom, a 150-car secure storage facility, and fully equipped workshops dedicated to restoration, servicing, machining, engine building, interior trimming and race car preparation.

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sports Car Service Technician to join our specialised automotive team. This role involves maintaining, repairing and servicing a wide variety of models from marques such as Lotus, TVR, Aston Martin, Ferrari and more. The successful candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for automotive excellence. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals eager to work with premium vehicles in a professional environment that values craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine maintenance and specialised repairs on sports cars, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Interpret technical schematics and mechanical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assemble, repair, or modify vehicle components.
Perform detailed inspections of vehicle systems, including engine, suspension, braking, and electrical components.
Execute equipment repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
Assist with the assembly of custom parts or modifications as required by clients or project specifications.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair procedures and addressing client concerns professionally.

Skills

Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical diagrams.
Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems, particularly high-performance sports cars.
Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and assembly processes.
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and equipment repair techniques.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
