Full job description

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

· Posting client and firm transactions on the accounting system.

· Daily balancing.

· Daily banking of incoming cheques and processing any outgoing requests for cheques.

· Processing incoming work such as client receipts/payments.

· Executing payments using the online banking platform (RBS Bankline).

· Assistance with the month end process in Elite 3e including postings, closing the period, all month end checks and running reports.

· Posting Other Funds transactions (guardianship accounts, client deposit accounts and power of attorney).

· Provide support to the Cashroom Team in identifying and implementing process improvements and system efficiencies.

· Any ad hoc duties as required.

Risks and Controls

· Promote the principles of good Cashroom practices, continuous improvement and the LC values and behaviours.

· Ensure compliance with documented internal controls.

Primary Interfaces

· Board members and partners.

· IT.

· HR.

· Banks and financial institutions.

· Auditors – statutory and Law Society.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

· Strong attention to detail.

· Good numeric skills.

· Ability to communicate effectively.

· IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft software (eg Excel and Word).

· Good organisational skills.

· Ability to effectively prioritise a busy workload and ensure all deadlines are met.

Pay: £24,784.00-£26,000.00 per year
