Deputy General Services Manager
Sudbury - Full time

We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic Deputy General Services Manager to join our team and play a key role in driving excellence and innovation.
As a Deputy General Services Manager you'll:

Support the General Services Manager in leading the day-to-day delivery of integrated facilities management services across the site.

Take responsibility for the site and lead operational teams in the absence of the General Services Manager.

Oversee multiple services, including catering, cleaning, security, and waste, ensuring exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Lead, coach, and develop site teams, creating a positive, engaged, and high-performing culture.

Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders, responding professionally to requests, feedback, and operational challenges.

Support the recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of colleagues, ensuring statutory and mandatory training remains up to date.

Monitor service performance, ensuring contractual standards, KPIs, and compliance requirements are consistently achieved.

Champion Health & Safety by maintaining risk assessments, safe systems of work, and promoting a positive safety culture across the site.

Support financial performance by managing costs, monitoring budgets, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.

Produce reports, complete client documentation, and use business systems to support operational and financial management.

Drive continuous improvement by identifying new ways to enhance service delivery, operational performance, and the customer experience.

Work collaboratively across the wider facilities management team to ensure seamless service delivery across all operational areas.
What we're looking for:
-
Previous management or supervisory experience within Facilities Management, Catering, Cleaning, Hospitality, or a multi-service operational environment.

Experience leading and developing teams while creating a positive and inclusive working culture.

Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, risk assessments, compliance, and safe systems of work.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients, colleagues, and contractors.

Commercial awareness with experience supporting budgets, controlling costs, and improving operational performance.

Experience managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced operational environment.
