Full job description

Our award winning care home is looking for an accomplished and creative chef to join the catering team at our fun- filled, boutique style and friendly small care home.

As our P/T Chef, you will be responsible for providing nutritious and tasty food with menu choices for up to 35 residents, and be responsible for the safety and hygiene of the kitchen when on shift

You will need to have some knowledge about textured diets, and special diets i.e. diabetic, low sugar, high fibre etc.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the food is prepared in line with monthly budgets and seasonal menu development, but you will also need to be creative and inventive in order to engage our residents, who love food from all over the world, and be able to provide the best afternoon tea in Largs! - with a passion for baking and pastry work

Food Hygiene and safety, HACCP qualification and knowledge of Cooksafe are essential.

Hours are 2/3 days from 7 (aver 22.5 hors per week), but there will be opportunity to cover for holidays and sickness too
