About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and professional couple or two friends to join our team as live-in housekeepers in Inverness.
This is an excellent opportunity for two people looking for a long-term position where accommodation is provided and you will have 4 months of the year off.
You will be responsible for maintaining and preparing our short-term rental properties to a consistently high standard, ensuring every property is clean, presentable and ready for incoming guests.
Working Pattern & Salary
The role operates on an 8-month working period, followed by 4 months off each year.
During the 8 working months, you will be required to work full-time hours, 7 days per week, based around guest arrivals, departures and property changeovers.
Salary:
- £21,637 per person
- £43,274 combined salary for two people
- Salary is based on working 8 months of the year
- 4 months off every year
- Accommodation provided
This arrangement provides the opportunity to work intensively during the main operating period while having an extended 4-month period away from work each year.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning and preparing properties between guest stays.
- Carrying out same-day changeovers to ensure properties are ready for new arrivals.
- Making beds and preparing bedrooms to a high standard.
- Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, living areas and communal areas.
- Checking properties thoroughly before guests arrive.
- Ensuring all required linen, towels and amenities are in place.
- Reporting any damage, maintenance issues or missing items promptly.
- Carrying out basic checks around properties and reporting anything requiring attention.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and hygiene.
- Working efficiently to meet guest check-in deadlines.
- Communicating with the property management team regarding any issues or requirements.
- Helping to maintain the general condition and presentation of the properties.
- Working flexibly around busy periods, guest arrivals and same-day changeovers.
About You
We are looking for two friends who are:
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Well organised and able to work independently.
- Experienced in housekeeping, cleaning, hospitality or property management — although relevant experience is preferred rather than essential.
- Comfortable working to deadlines.
- Able to maintain a consistently high standard of cleanliness.
- Professional and respectful towards guests and properties.
- Good communicators and able to report issues clearly.
- Flexible and willing to work weekends and busy periods.
- Looking for a stable, long-term live-in opportunity.
- Comfortable living and working together as a couple or friends.
The Role
The successful couple or friends will live in accommodation provided by the company and will form an important part of our local Inverness operations.
Because of the nature of the role, we are looking for two people who can work well together, take pride in their work and are able to commit to the 8-month working period and 4-month annual break.
The role would suit people who enjoy hospitality and property management and are looking for the combination of accommodation, a strong combined salary and 4 months off every year.
