Martin Williams (Hull) Ltd is a well-established and respected commercial vehicle body build business, providing high-quality services to fleet operators, hauliers, and commercial vehicle owners throughout the region. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Vehicle Quality Controller to join our busy team in Hull.
As a Commercial Vehicle Quality Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all vehicles leaving our workshop meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. Working closely with technicians, workshop management, and customers, you will be responsible for inspecting completed repairs and maintenance work to ensure it has been carried out correctly and to company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct final quality inspections on completed vehicles.
- Ensure all work has been completed in line with manufacturer specifications, company procedures, and VCA requirements.
- Identify and record any defects, omissions, or quality concerns and ensure corrective action is taken.
- Verify workshop paperwork is completed accurately and fully.
- Monitor and maintain quality control processes within the workshop.
- Support technicians and workshop staff in maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and quality assurance procedures.
- Ensure health and safety standards are maintained at all times.
Essential:
- Previous experience within the commercial vehicle, HGV, trailer, or automotive industry.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to identify faults and assess repair standards.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable:
- HGV Licence.
- Previous quality control or workshop supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of DVSA regulations and commercial vehicle compliance requirements.
- Relevant automotive or engineering qualifications.
Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
