Electrician/Electrical Installer
We are looking for a dedicated workshop-based Electrician to join our team to carry out the installation and assembly of electrical systems. Based in Keighley, West Yorkshire.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives when trusted to work independently. You’ll be expected to manage your own workload, solve problems proactively, and maintain high standards with minimal supervision.
The role will also include the expectation that you support and guide colleagues that are assigned to work with you, helping them develop safe working practices, improve their skills and maintain the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wiring in accordance with 18th edition electrical regulations and electrical engineering drawings.
- Installation of electrical containment, cable tray, metal conduit and Uni strut supports.
- Running cables and installing flexible conduit runs.
- Installation and connection of lights, switches and LV equipment.
- Installation and connection of 3phase distribution boards and motors/VSD.
- Termination of control panels and control equipment.
- Use safety equipment, PPE and protective devices and equipment.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a similar electrical role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrates flexibility to address business needs.
- Computer literate in Microsoft applications.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
- Formal apprenticeship in Electrical Installation.
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671.
- ECS Gold Card Installation Electrician.
- MEWP Licence.
- Driving License.
The Package:
- Salary: Hourly - Paid Weekly - £15.00 - £18.00 (depending on experience/qualifications).
- Hours: Standard working hours are Monday to Thursday 07.00 – 17.00 – 4 DAY WORKING WEEK.
- 22 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays (accumulating +1 day for every 3 years of service).
