We're recruiting an Electrical Design Coordinator to join our team, taking ownership of concept development, design review, and technical coordination across our projects.
This role suits someone with broad electrical engineering experience who's confident working across design, procurement, and compliance — and comfortable engaging with DNOs and external stakeholders.

What we do
We are a full turnkey Commercial and industrial HV/LV Design and Installation company with a portfolio of 700+customers many who have been with us from the beginning, most of our business is from repeat or word of mouth. We have also diversified into battery storage (BESS) and EV commercial installation providing recognised training for our Engineers.
What you'll be doing
- Developing concept designs and reviewing existing electrical designs for accuracy and compliance
- Leading on cable sizing, earthing systems, and protection design
- Coordinating with procurement to specify and source electrical equipment
- Ensuring designs meet relevant standards, grid codes, and regulatory requirements
- Liaising with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) on connections, applications, and technical queries
- Using design and analysis software including PSS/E, SINCAL, IPSA, and MATLAB
- Supporting project teams with technical input throughout the project lifecycle
What we're looking for
- Solid, broad-based electrical design experience — comfortable across multiple disciplines
- Hands-on experience with cable, earthing, and protection design
- Proficiency in power systems software: PSS/E, SINCAL, IPSA, DIgSILENT, MATLAB (or similar)
- Track record of DNO interaction — connection applications, G99, technical negotiations
- Understanding of electrical compliance and relevant standards
- Strong organisational skills and ability to coordinate across teams
- Clear communicator, able to translate technical detail for different audiences
Desirable
- Experience in renewables, grid connections, or energy storage projects
- Familiarity with HV/EHV systems
- Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
