Full job description

We're looking for a Drainage Investigation Engineer to join the Auger Team, covering Maidstone and surrounding area. As part of the role, you'll be trained to carry out subsidence investigations alongside a range of drainage investigations. Our total package is worth £36,412 - £42,122 without overtime.

Financials

Starting Salary - £32,381.75 - £37,793.70 dependent on experience
Annual Bonus - approx £2000 - £2500
5.5% Pension Contribution - approx £1781 - £2,078.65

Overtime

Optional weekend OT at 1.5x rate eg. 10 days would top up the package to £38,280 - £44,302.76

Working Hours

42.5hrs per week, Mon-Fri only & NO on-call work
We pay door-to-door including all driving time
Go straight to your job from home - you don't have to report to a depot or yard first
Limited stay-aways, with bonuses/annual leave for more than 3 overnights per quarter

The Role

Independently investigate drainage systems and recommend appropriate repairs
Learn and carry out subsidence investigations, including identifying potential causes and gathering relevant information and evidence
Logically establish ownership and the cause of the customer's issue
Confidently talk our customer through the works, giving them peace of mind
Complete trial holes to locate foundations and collect soil & root samples
Communicate proactively with our Field Operations Team at HQ
Work effectively with other engineers in our team as required

Preferred Experience

Use of CCTV camera (recording and labeling)
Use of CAT scanner in order to identify buried services and to trace/locate the drainage system by use of sonde
Reinstatement of various different domestic surface types including; paving slabs, block paving, cold lay tarmac, concrete, etc.
Ability to complete small repairs - Replacement of gullies, restbends, small sections of shallow pipework
Prior experience of completing trial holes
