What You’ll Be Doing
We are looking for a passionate and motivated Apprentice Chef to join our Conference & Events team at Elland Road.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in hospitality and professional cookery. Working alongside our experienced kitchen team, you will gain hands-on experience across a variety of kitchen environments while completing your Level 2 Commis Chef Apprenticeship.
You will learn essential food preparation and cooking techniques, support matchday and event catering operations, and help maintain the high standards expected across Leeds United's hospitality and conference facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and wider kitchen team with food preparation and kitchen duties.
Assist with washing, peeling, chopping, weighing, and portioning ingredients.
Learn and develop basic cooking techniques under the guidance of senior chefs.
Help prepare and present dishes to the required standards.
Support kitchen operations during staff feeding and event service.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen.
Assist with daily cleaning tasks and scheduled deep cleans.
Follow food hygiene, allergen, health & safety, and safeguarding procedures at all times.
Support stock rotation, storage, and delivery checks.
Help with the set-up and breakdown of catering and event service areas.
Attend apprenticeship training and complete all required coursework and learning activities.
Work positively as part of the wider kitchen and hospitality team.
Represent Leeds United professionally and uphold Club values at all times.
What We’re Looking For

Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen, hospitality, catering, or food preparation environment is desirable but not essential.
Customer service experience is beneficial but not required.
Experience working as part of a team is desirable.
