We are seeking an experienced Fire & Security Installation Engineer to join our growing team. This role is predominantly focused on the installation of fire alarm systems, with some involvement in security systems including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms.
Working across commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, and public sector sites, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality installations to industry standards while maintaining excellent customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of fire alarm systems including containment, cabling, devices, and control equipment.
- First and second fixing on new-build and refurbishment projects.
- Installation of emergency lighting systems where required.
- Installation of CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems when required.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Working closely with project managers, site managers, and other trades.
- Testing and commissioning support as projects near completion.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Completing installation documentation and reports accurately.
Requirements
- Proven experience installing fire alarm systems.
- Good understanding of BS 5839 and relevant fire industry standards.
- Ability to work from drawings and installation specifications.
- Experience with systems such as Advanced, Kentec, Morley, C-TEC, Gent, Apollo, Hochiki, or similar.
- Knowledge of CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems would be advantageous.
- ECS/CSCS card preferred.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong attention to detail and a professional approach to work.
