Graphic Designer & DTF Print Technician
Could be eitherpart time or full time depending on candidates
Full training will be provided on our DTF printing equipment, so previous experience operating this machinery is not essential.
We are a second generation apparel decorating business, based at Sighthill. We work with a range of clients from schools, universities, corporates, events, festivals to visitor attractions. We design and manufacture everything in house.
We are looking for a proactive graphic designer to join us on a part time basis however we would also consider full time depending on candidate. However this could increase as the role develops for the right person.
As a small team you must be willing to “roll your sleeves up” and get involved helping will all parts of the business when required.
No two days are the same, it’s a fast paced environment so you must be able to pivot when required and deal with pressure. However it’s also lots of fun, and full of colour!
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
- A creative eye with an understanding of branding, typography, colour and layout.
- Ability to produce accurate, print-ready artwork.
- Experience creating designs for both print and digital platforms.
- A portfolio demonstrating graphic design skills (commercial, university or freelance work welcome).
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple creative projects.
- Enthusiastic, reliable and willing to learn new production techniques.
- Be able to deal with client enquires from initial enquiry to delivery
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Graphic Design qualification (or currently studying towards one).
- Experience with website design and updating website content.
- Experience creating marketing materials for both print and social media.
- Logo design and brand development experience.
- Knowledge of DTF printing, screen printing or garment decoration.
- Experience preparing artwork for print production.
- Basic understanding of colour management and print processes.
- Photography or content creation experience (advantageous but not essential).
Personal Qualities:
- Creative and passionate about design.
- Positive attitude and eager to develop new skills.
- Practical and hands-on with an interest in production as well as design.
- Good communication skills and able to work collaboratively within a small team.
- Takes pride in producing high-quality work.
Pay: From £15.00 per hour
